Why we started Vivaday

As the founder of Vivaday, I wanted to take a moment to share our story with you. Since Harvard University was founded in 1636, the U.S. has grown to over 4,000 degree-granting institutions. Yet finding truly transparent, honest, and up-to-date information about the college experience is harder than ever. Current college search platforms often focus on rankings, test scores, and campus amenities, but they don’t give you the full picture of life at a particular school. There’s little to no insight into what daily life really feels like, what social dynamics exist on campus, or how students genuinely experience their education. And when you’re about to make such a significant investment of your time and resources, this lack of transparency is a real problem.

At Vivaday, we’re solving this problem by creating a platform that puts the voices of current students front and center. For years, prospective students have relied on limited or overly polished college tours to make these decisions. But these tours can be misleading, often showcasing only the best aspects of campus life while leaving out the complexities and nuances that matter most.

This is where Vivaday comes in. We give high school students the opportunity to connect directly with current college students in a way that is honest, open, and real. Through our platform, students can ask the tough questions about life on campus—about workload, social culture, dorm life, and everything in between—and get answers directly from the people who live it every day. No more guessing. No more cookie-cutter experiences. 

This is something that the growing and talented team at Vivaday and I feel very passionately about. College can be such an innovative, wondrous, and a opportunity filled experience when students are in the right environment. But the key is they have to be in the right environment or else students will never know these possibilities exist to them.

As someone who’s recently navigated the ups and downs of the college experience —including transferring schools and changing majors—I know how overwhelming and uncertain the decision can feel. That’s why I created Vivaday: to empower you with the tools to make an informed decision and find the college that’s the right fit, both academically and socially.
